1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using websitesummarizer.org (Website Summarizer), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, stop using the website and the Service.

2. Use of Service

Website Summarizer lets you paste a public webpage URL. The server fetches publicly readable page content, and an AI model returns a structured summary. Modes include quick summary, key takeaways, deep research, business analysis, SEO analysis, study notes, and translate and summarize. You can try the basic URL tool without creating an account. By using the Service, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
• Not use the Service to scrape, harvest, or hammer websites, and not send automated traffic that overloads the Service or third-party sites.
• Not use the Service to reach paywalled, login-gated, or other private content that you have no right to access.
• Not reverse-engineer, probe, or bypass the Service, including its limits on private and non-public addresses.
• Not overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules, including use that does not go through an account.

3. User Content

You submit webpage URLs and, when the Service offers it, optional follow-up questions about a page. By submitting them, you confirm that:

• You may request a summary of that page, and the URL points to content you are allowed to access.
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to fetch the publicly readable page and to process the URL, the fetched text, and any follow-up prompt only to provide the Service.
• We do not claim ownership of the third-party webpage or of its content. A summary is generated for you. We do not publish the source page as our own.

4. AI-Generated Output

Summaries are produced by an AI model and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. A long page may be summarized from its opening portion only. You are responsible for decisions you make based on a summary. A summary is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for reading the original page.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party providers. We are not responsible for their reliability, policies, or practices. These include:

• Evolink (AI summaries using Claude-class text models. Fetched page text is sent to Evolink so it can write the summary.)
• Google Analytics (usage analytics)
• Cloudflare (hosting, performance, and security)
• Google (optional sign-in, only if you choose to sign in with Google)
• Stripe (payment processing, only if you purchase an optional paid feature)

You are responsible for reviewing the third-party terms and policies that apply to you.

6. Credits and Payments

The basic webpage summarizer is free to try. It does not require an account, a credit balance, or a card. You do not have to buy a plan to summarize a public webpage URL on the homepage.

Credits: Homepage URL summaries do not draw on a credit balance. If we later offer optional summarization credits, they stay valid for the period shown at checkout. A refund, if one is offered, covers only unused paid credits and only on the terms shown before you pay.

Subscriptions: We do not currently sell a subscription for webpage summaries. Whole-site and multi-URL features, where they are shown, are previews and are not a paid product. If a subscription is offered later, the price, billing period, and how to cancel will be shown before you pay. Unless that checkout says otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and we do not prorate a refund for a partial period.

If you do make a purchase, Stripe processes the payment. Prices for any future paid feature can change, and a change does not alter a purchase you have already completed.

7. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our partners are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, reliance on an incomplete or inaccurate summary, or interruptions caused by third-party services. You use the Service at your own risk.

8. Termination

We may suspend or permanently end your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform, including by trying to summarize content you have no right to access or by overloading the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we will post the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after the update means you accept the new Terms.
